Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I need a referral to visit you?

In most cases, a referral isn't necessary to see us.

    A referral is required if:

    • Your GP has recommended Podiatric treatment as part of your ‘Enhanced Primary Care’ Plan or ‘Complex Disease Management’ Plan.

    • You are seeking treatment under cover or third-party insurance claim.

    • You are a returned service veteran seeking Podiatric treatment under a Gold or White card.

  • What does a Podiatrist do?

Podiatrists are specialists that deal with foot and leg-related issues. During the consultation, we get a background of your presenting concerns, determine its nature and then provide you with a treatment plan.

These problems may include skin and nail disorders, foot and ankle complaints such as injuries, arthritis, diabetes and other medical complications. We work with those of all age ranges including kids, adults and the elderly.

  • Am I able to claim my Podiatry visit through my private health fund?

Of course. We have a HICAPS facility available on site for you to instantly claim the rebate. The rebate amount will depend on your level of private health insurance cover. You will need to contact your health fund to find out about your personal entitlements to podiatry fees.

  • Is there disabled or wheelchair access?

Yes, our clinic is wheelchair accessible. There are also disabled parking spots available in the parking area.

  • Do you offer home visits to patients that are unable to make it to the clinic?

Yes. For those who are not mobile, we can arrange a home visit for clients in the south-west Sydney region. Please contact our clinic to arrange an appointment.

  • Is car parking available?

Yes, parking is available for patients both behind and adjacent to the medical centre.

  • What can I expect at my first appointment?

Your consultation will include detailed discussion of your presenting concerns. This will be followed by a physical examination of the area on concern and will involve a series of quick, non-invasive tests.

We will share with you your results and diagnosis, and recommend a treatment plan that may commence straight away or be scheduled for a future appointment, especially if further investigations are required.

To enable us to make the best treatment plan for you, here are a few things you can do to help prepare for your appointment:

    • Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your appointment to fill out the necessary paperwork for your first visit. This form will help us identify what your presenting health concern is and enable our team to give you the best possible advice during and after your appointment.

    • Please bring with you any x-rays or other imaging scans, GP referrals, or medical history relating to your visit.

    • Ensure you have your Medicare card, pensioner card (if applicable) or your private health insurance card with you.
